From a big blur to total clarity. Here's how we get there.
Clarity Creative doesn’t just hand you a deliverable and disappear. We believe that powerful change-making storytelling happens when storytellers go deep. We embed in your mission and programs, build the strategy around your positioning, and stay with you until the story is doing its job, or continue on as your trusted partner.
You're doing extraordinary work
But your communications feel like an afterthought.
(If it’s even a thought at all.)
Pop quiz: check all that apply (yes, really)
Your website hasn't been updated since before your last strategic plan.
Your team posts on social media when someone has time — not because there's a strategy.
You can't clearly articulate what makes your organization different from others in your space.
Funders and partners keep asking for materials you don't have — or that don't represent you well.
You've hired freelancers who delivered assets but never gave you a cohesive strategy.
You have a vision that could change things but you can't figure out how to make people care about it the way you do.
Your team can't agree on the message so every department, every grant proposal, and every social post tells a different story.
You've been doing your own comms because nobody else has the bandwidth or the expertise — and it shows.
If you checked more than two, we should talk.
Let's talk →Three phases. One clear story..
Don’t wing it. Good communications isn’t magic—it’s architecture.
The best messaging looks effortless. The strategy behind it is anything but. Every project is different. Whether you’re a fresh startup finding your voice or a foundation ready to shake the room, the scope changes. The blueprint, and the need for a blueprint, doesn’t.
Oh! the phases you’ll go!
What you get
Every engagement is tailored to your unique needs, but these are the kind of materials clients usually walk away with.
Communications strategy
A comprehensive roadmap covering messaging, audiences, channels, and campaigns — your single source of truth.
Brand & messaging toolkit
Visual identity, voice guide, key messages, boilerplate language, and elevator pitches your whole team can use.
Content & copy
Website copy, impact reports, social campaigns, video scripts, fundraising materials — whatever the strategy calls for.
Digital playbook
Channel strategy, content calendars, audience growth plan, and analytics framework to measure what’s actually working.
Team training materials
Workshops, guides, and templates so your team can sustain momentum independently after we wrap.
Impact Reporting
Beautifully designed reports that tell your story to funders, partners, and the public with data and narrative combined.
We're pretty picky.
You should be too.
We take on a small number of clients each year ,
and we’re upfront about who we work best with.
Are mission-driven and work to create measurable social impact
Want a strategic partner, not a vendor who gives "just because" content to "check a box" (yes, we see the irony here)
Are ready to commit to a multi-month engagement
Trust that good strategy compounds over time, and is worth the investment
Are open to being challenged on messaging and assumptions
Have leadership buy-in for communications...or are an internal renegade with decision-making power
You need a quick logo or one-off post, and don't care how it performs.
You're looking for a 30-person agency, and don't care who answers the phone.
You need results in two weeks, without any investment.
All that matters is the next social post.
You don't connect storytelling to impact.
You're comfortable with exploitative narratives.
You schedule meetings that could've been a voice memo.
If you see yourself in the first list, we'd love to hear from you.
Book a call →How much does an engagement cost?
The cost depends on scope, but most full engagements (from strategy through execution) range from $15K–$50K over 3–8 months. Smaller, focused projects like a messaging framework or impact report generally start around $8K. Established clients (with strategy in place) are offered ongoing support at a la cart or retainer rates. No matter what, we'll scope everything together on the discovery call so there are no surprises at kick-off. And, if it's not the right fit budget-wise for you, we'll tell you—and point you toward someone who can help.
How long does a typical engagement last?
Most engagements run 3–6 months from kickoff to launch. The first month is deep listening and strategy. The middle is building. The final stretch is launch, training, and making sure your team can run with it. Some clients keep us on retainer after that—but the goal is always to leave you stronger, not dependent.
Do you replace our in-house team?
Why, are they a problem? Just kidding. Replacing staff is never our goal. We make your team stronger. We bring the strategic architecture and senior creative direction that most in-house teams don't have bandwidth or budget for, then we train them to own it. Your comms manager becomes more effective, not more redundant. The best engagements end with your team saying "we've got this now."
What if we're not sure what we need yet?
That's what the discovery call is for…literally. Most clients come to us knowing something isn't working but are not sure exactly what. Sometimes they know what they want, but are not sure how to get there. As part of our 3 phases, we diagnose before we prescribe. You don't need to arrive with a brief. Just bring the mission and the frustration. Consider discovery a much-needed vent session. We'll figure out the rest together.
Can we start with just one piece — like a website or social strategy?
You can — but we'll always suggest starting with strategy first, even if the first deliverable is a single piece. A website without a messaging strategy is just a pretty brochure. A social plan without audience clarity is just noise. We'll right-size the strategic work so it's proportional to the project, but we won't skip it. That's how you get communications that actually perform.
What makes you different from a full-service agency?
You work directly with Kate, not an account manager who relays your feedback to a junior team. You get senior strategic thinking applied to every deliverable, not just the pitch deck. You pay for solid work, not managerial overhead. And because we only take on a handful of clients at a time, your mission gets our full creative attention.
We've tried agencies before and it didn't work. Why would this be different?
Probably because the agencies gave you deliverables without strategy—or a strategy without understanding your mission. We embed. We learn your programs, your people, your mission. The work we produce sounds like you on your best day, not like a contractor who Googled your issue area once. That's the difference between communications that sit in a folder and communications that move the needle.
Do you work with organizations outside the U.S.?
Absolutely. We've worked with UN agencies, international NGOs, and grassroots organizations across multiple continents. Kate has worked on-the-ground in Chile, India, Bangladesh, Thailand, Uganda, Senegal, and all across Europe. Time zones are manageable. Language barriers are solvable. A good story is universal.
Let's see what clarity looks like for your mission.
Every engagement starts with a conversation. Book a complimentary 30-minute discovery call and we’ll map out where your communications stand today. No pitch. No pressure. Just a real conversation.
